The year thus far!

Can't believe its already 2009. Geez time flies. Chad is back in school. He in the powerplant portion of the A&P training, cannot believe it. He takes his oral and practical exam this month for airframe... pray for that. I know he is going to do awesome but is a big scary thing.

We are praying very hard about moving to western washington for Chad to finish his flight training there. It's looking like Northern Washington (Arlington, Everett) area is where we could be headed. Many more exciting changes are coming our way but we are so excited to see where God is going to lead us. It is strengthening our faith that is for sure.

I am still loving my job...not nights of course. If we were staying here I would look into transferring to the peds ICU but I will wait and see if there is a spot in Seattle somewhere. Keep all these changes in your prayers please. We believe Chad and I are truly called into the mission field in and in order to make it out there we need to finish his schooling without debt, hence the probably move. Pray that God will provide all we need financially and in a school, and in a job over there for me if we do move. We love you all and cannot wait to see what this year has in store!

Summary of the last part of 2008

I have been terrible about updating this only because we have had such terrible computer problems. But Praise God we were able to buy a new desk top with the help of a precious angel so I will be able to update this more when our internet is up and running again :-)

Thanksgiving:
Chad and I were blessed to be able to go to California this year to spend Thanksgiving with his family. It was a nice quiet relaxing trip. My wonderful mother-in-law threw us a nice reception for the people down there who were not able to make it up to the wedding. It was such a wonderful treat and I got to meet more family. Also BIG news that I got on this trip was that I am going to be an AUNTIE!! My sister Jennifer is pregnant with her first baby... I am so excited!

Christmas:
I was supposed to work Christmas day so the week before we loaded up the car, lincoln his huge kennel and all and headed over the pass. What we didn't expect was the biggest snow storm in years to hit the night before we left. In 24 hours over 2ft of snow fell and it continued to snow even after we left. But we made it over the pass without problems and then got stuck for 5hours in Western Washington, due to closed freeways from ice. But after 12 hours in the car we made it safely to my dads house. I think Lincoln was even more excited than us to get out of the car and eat!!! It was a great trip. We hung out with friends, had great family time, and Chad got to go snowboarding which made the trip for him I'm sure. Chad's mom and sister was supposed to come for a couple of days and have Christmas dinners with my parents but due to snow and ice and all kinds of bad weather they were not able to make it... what a disappointment.
My dad made his first prime rib on his tregger grill which was wonderful... it was my first time trying prime rib too. He did a great job and was so proud of it. Wish I had the picture he took with it so I could post it :-)

Back home:
Well we made it back Christmas day... so much snow was on the ground I could hardly believe it. I returned to work and then Chad's mom and sister came into town for a few days for a great visit. We hung out they got to experience snow... those Californians you know don't see it much! They were such troopers. I think Christina fell in love with the kitty, I still think seabass likes her more than us! I think Seabass needs a new home in So. Cali!

It was a wonderful year. Chad and I have loved learning how to be married, its a journey with experiences everyday. December 28th was 6months for us so half the year we spent married... how awesome!
